    Loot Policy

    PHOENIX ASCENDING LOOT POLICIES

    DKP system
DKP or Dragon Kill Point systems award you points for raiding, and charge you points for looting.

    Earning points
In our system points are awarded every hour of raiding with bonus points for being online at the start and end of the raid. Points are taken from being in the raid tool and when we have over flow situations being in the agreed to channel and ready to raid.

    - Social Members may join the Raid List channel, but do not accrue DKP nor can they spend DKP while in Raid List channel. Joining the channel is simply to let the Raid Leaders know you are ready and willing to raid that night
    - Social Members will accrue and may bid up to 10DKP on loot and may bid on spell gems while they are actively participating in a raid

    Point Rot
This is the most unique part of our loot system. The short and simple explanation is that we only award points based on a 45-raid day window. Hours raided during the 45-raid day window count, points spent during the 45 raid day window count. Any points earned or spent prior to this do not impact your DKP total in any shape or form.

    Fixed Spending Amounts
Points are spent in fixed amounts 20 DKP, 10 DKP, 5 DKP or 0 DKP. We follow the process below using the following calling system to award the item and figure out how much is spent.

    Rules For Awarding Loot

    Initial Bid
All items start bidding at 20DKP and only full raid members in good standing (raid % > 20) and positive DKP can bid. No one bids and the price drops... see rules for price decrease

Some low value items may be /randomed at the discretion of the raid leader and loot council.

Item bids will be post in guild chat in a format similar to the following:
“PST Item Name 20DKP First Call”
“PST Item Name 20DKP Second Call”
“PST Item Name 20DKP Third/Final Call”

This will be repeated at each bidding level to ensure all interested persons have time to check current items, DKP, and bid prior to an item being closed or moved to the next tier

When bidding on loot, the bidder must include a link of the item itself in the /tell to the loot caller. In return, when a raider wins a piece of loot, the loot caller will link the item won back to the winner.

    Loot Mistakes
Raiders are strongly encouraged to take the extra time needed to ensure that they are looting the correct item from the chest. If a mistake does happen, the raider who picked up the incorrect item will be charged for two loots - the item looted at the awarded DKP cost and a penalty loot at 5 DKP.

Additionally, the raider who originally won the item will be offered an option between taking the DKP charge for the lost item (and looting the next instance of that item that drops), or declining the item entirely with no changes to their DKP.
    Price Decrease
Bidding at 10DKP is open to all raiders, raiding recruits, social members, and guests. If anyone bids on the item, the item will be awarded by doing a member comparison.
Note: Social Members may bid at this stage while they are actively participating in a raid.

    Dictate Rules
Bidding is open to all members and raiding recruits. However, preference will be given to “high need raiders”. This means that if a mixture of individuals bid (20%+ raiders as well as Applicants), then all 20%+ will be thrown out, and the loot will be awarded to a high need raider at no cost. However, if only 20%+ raiders bid on the item, then the winner will be awarded the loot at 5dkp using the member comparison. The winner must be able to equip the item. In the event of a tie, the people who are tied will random. If no one bids on the item, the item goes to rot.

    Rot/Alt looting rules
**All Wrott Loot, regardless of classification will be awarded Wrott loot at 0 DKP**

Alts: Alts invited to fill empty slots for coins and raid flags can be invited at the discretion of the raid tool operator on a first come first serve basis. They can be dismissed from the raid at any time.
Members: We are all members of this guild. It takes all of us to make it work and thrive.
    • Be supportive of your guildies and if you can help with a program, raids, or anything please speak up!
    • Conflict and arguments will happen. Attempt to resolve them at the lowest level or through appropriate channels as needed.

When an item has no bidders, it is declared a wrott. Participating members and Non Participanting raid members can bid for their alts for loot items if they can use. If a wrott loot is not awarded, then an officer will loot for tribute.

**To loot a Wrott item, an Alt MUST BE able to zone in and at the Rec/Req level to equip the item. Looting Wrott gear on an Alt is a privilege, if you unnecessarily delay the raid that privilege can be revoked by the Raid leader**

In the event that two or more members of the same classification (IE 2 Alts) bid on an item it will be Randomed by the Loot Caller.

    Member Comparison
New for switch to EQDKP at the start of Laurion's Inn: To determine who wins an item, the member with the highest points total is selected from the DKP tool.
If 2 members are tied, the member with the higher 30-Day RA wins.
If still tied, the loot caller will random for the winner.
If a member has spent DKP already on a raid their DKP will be recalculated for any new items.
The primary vector of comparison for awarding loot is by current available DKP. If the DKP difference between the highest member and the next member is high (>=11 points) the person with the highest DKP wins. If the difference is small (<=10 points) everyone within 10 points of the highest person is considered. Of the people within 10 points of the highest person, the person with the lowest loot % is the winner. If there is a tie then it will be broken first with DKP, if there is still a tie, it will be broken with RA, and if there is still a tie, then /random will be used to break the tie. If a member has spent DKP already on a raid their DKP and loot % will be recalculated for any new items

    Guest Members
Guest Raiders will be awarded DKP based on attendance and treated as a Raider for all comparison purposes.
